A French family of four relocated from Paris, with a school-age child. They had a general preference for greenery and a quiet atmosphere but no knowledge of which Singapore districts might suit them. Six weeks of online research had produced confusion rather than clarity.
Walkabout + Lease Negotiation
A morning walkabout of Bukit Timah, focusing on school access, morning atmosphere, and the character of various residential streets within the district. The debrief produced a shortlist of four properties. One was selected. Lease negotiation followed, concluding with a 5% reduction on the asking rent and improved diplomatic clause terms.
Settled Within Six Weeks

The landlord's original position was an 18% increase. The agreed renewal rate was 3.5%. Both parties signed. The couple remain in the property. Service fee: SGD 720, which represented less than a single month's difference on the annual rental saving achieved.
